Caught Something

Slowly it is coming together with various paint applications and texturing. I am almost complete. I have one or two other details to add to it and then it is off to be displayed and the question and answer session of the board critic for class. Four more pieces are planned to go along with this body of work of Classic Science Fiction and Fantasy Literature sculpture inspirations. I will post pictures from the studio display as soon as possible.

New Prop in the Works

My new Prop/Sculpture that I am currently working on. It is my interrpretation of the white whale Moby Dick. I have lots of painting and texturing still to do as well as additional detailing. A friend saw me working on it and remarked that it felt like something from a Lovecraft inspired story. I will post new photographs as soon as its complete.

New Pictures

Here are the newest pictures a friend took of my interpretation of Grendal's arm from the epic poem Beowulf. It is part of a body of work I am currently developing, which is inspired by classic fantasy/horror literature.

A New Creation

Here is a new project I am working on for an Advanced Sculpture class. It is an interpretation of Grendal's  arm from the poem Beowulf. There is still some more dressing and texturing needed. I wanted to get away from the typical thoughts of him as a Troll or something like that and more to a nightmarish Tree  infected demon thing. It is just a exploration. More (or I should say better) pictures when I have completed it.
