To indulge my love of Medieval reenactment I decided to build a Medieval Crossbowman Pavise. A large shield used by crossbowmen in the Middle Ages for castle seiges and other battle field defenses.
It was my very first attempt at anything like this and of course I learn from my mistakes. But, all in all I was pleased with the result. It still needs painting and final touch ups and it will be ready to use. Many questions were asked of me: Why do you want to build that? What is it? What good is it?
My responses come from this quote:
"...There are some people who live in a dream world, and there are some who face reality; and then there are those who turn one into the other..."
~Desiderius Erasmus, 27 October 1 1466 – 12 July 1536

So keep your imaginations free my friends. At your service.
Sincerely and With Great Respect,
Professor Otto the Confused
